Technical Writer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and continuously improve technical documentation, including operating, assembly and maintenance instructions, for our machines and systems
  • Prepare and structure technical information in close collaboration with Mechanical Design, Project Management, Service and other technical teams
  • Review documentation provided by external suppliers, e.g. documentation relating to food-contact compliance
  • Support the preparation of declarations of incorporation and declarations of conformity
  • Work directly on projects and coordinate with the relevant engineering teams as part of risk assessments in accordance with EN ISO 12100
  • Support the validation of risk assessments

What you bring

  • Completed vocational training, an advanced technical qualification or a degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable technical field
  • Several years of experience in technical documentation, ideally in industrial machinery and systems
  • The ability to communicate complex technical content clearly, precisely and in a way that is appropriate for the target audience
  • Sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory requirements, particularly those relating to risk assessment, the EU Machinery Regulation and the Cyber Resilience Act
  • A structured, thorough and independent way of working
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in working closely with technical and engineering teams
  • Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
  • Confident use of MS Office; experience with CAD systems such as SolidWorks is an advantage
